Hesiodus Epicus “Scutum Herculis” 306 ; μόχθων ἀμπνοά, ἀμοιβά, Pindarus Lyricus “O.” 8.7, “N.” 5.48: frequently in Trag., Aeschylus Tragicus “Choephori” 921, Sophocles Tragicus “Philoctetes” 480, etc. : also in plural, toils, troubles, hardships, Aeschylus Tragicus “Prometheus Vinctus” 541 (Lyric poetry) , etc.; of the labours of Heracles, Sophocles Tragicus “Trachiniae” 1101, 1170 ; μ. τέκνων for them, Euripides Tragicus “Medea” 1261 (Lyric poetry) ; μόχθον ἀμφὶ πράγμασι epigram cited in Aeschines Orator 3.184 ; Ἀπελλείου μ. γραφίδος, of a picture, “APl.” 4.178 (Antip.
